lol, good thing you sold it, but he paid high for a used shuffle. 99$ seems like a great price shipped but I hate the fact that the shuffle shuffles!

We got T-shirts as we came in, so no purchase was necessary. I wonder what they do with the leftover T-shirts if a store doesn't use them all up?

I just released a free WordPress theme called iFeature for free. It looks like Apple's website and even has a feature slider, social networking, and sharing options.

Although I'll admit setting it up is a little touchy, it's far from impossible (http://www.jasondorn.com/revolution/) to do.
The biggest thing you need to remember is to put a directory for your blog to reside, other wise it'll just upload everything to the root(aka before your http folder) and you won't see nothing.
I assume your trying to FTP to your own domain/site?
Well, I'm sure if these guys did it... I should be able to figure it out as well.
Thanks for your help.

As there are no bids on it at the moment I'd like to make an offer of $300 shipped to the UK.
Thanks.
Jake.
Thanks for the offer but its only been up for a few hours :)
I paid more then that so I can't really sell a new phone thats in high demand at a loss. You're welcome to try on ebay and see if you are the winning bid and I'd be happy to throw in UK shipping free.
Thanks.

Thx for your replies - but that's a bummer :(
Had hoped it would work.
Then I will wait until MacPro gets SATA 3 support with my purchase. Buying an expensive MacPro tower with no support for SATA 3 and no boot support for PCI express SSD cards seems crazy to me to be quite honest !
Scr_ew Thunderbolt, but I really do need SATA 3 support as I'm a HDD/SSD geek :)
Coming from the self building PC tower world Apple sure is very very limited in what ways you can upgrade these machines.
If not for all the hackingtosh trouble I would've gone that way.
Must say I now re-re-re consider going back to Win 7 Lian Li Alu tower with PCI express X2 Revodrive as bote drive, 2 Vertex 3 240 gb for programs and often used doc, sheet, pic and database files, 2 3 tb WD Caviar Black HDD for music & movies, i7 2600 k Sandybridge CPU, Asus Maximus mobo, 1000 watt gold plated Corsair psu, 32 GB 1600 MHz DDR 3 ram, Radeon 6970 2 gb DDR 3 GPU, 2 ACD 27" displays and one matte Dell 2711 27" display in the middle - and then still have money left over :)
I will still miss OSx darn much though, but pheeewww I feel like I'm slamming my head against a wall with all the current mac products :(
iMac outdated - yeahhhh Sandy will come in 2-3-4-4-6-7-8-9-10 weeks time or 3 months or....
MacPro outdated but NO new xeon cpu untill late 2011 early 2012 :(
MBP updated - but too big compared to MBA for travel and not expandable enough as desktop replacement for my needs :(
MBA - PERFECT as travel mate had it had backlit keys, now it's only 99% perfection !

Hello guys,
I've recently ran into an issue. I need to copy files from an external drive to an IMAC but I need all dates to be preserved. Like creation date, modification date etc...
Is that possible somehow?
Thanks a bunch for your help.

My 23" has the pink tint and I have heard a few people say theirs doesn't, but every one I have seen in person (in 3 different stores) has the tint.
Interestingly the new Tiger build has a Colorsync profile that removes the pink tint (clean install).
If your screen is pink, why don't you just calibrate it?

When Leopard was released, the minimum requirement was a machine with a 867 MHz G4 or better. The installer blocked it from installing on a machine that was lower. However, with a little bit of work, you could install it (with some caveats, depending on the machine).
So it's entirely possible that someone will release a hack that will allow Lion to run on unsupported machines.
Snow leopard was a universal binary that included Intel 64 bit and Intel 32 bit architectures. No amount of hacking could get it working on a PowerPC Mac. Similarly, Lion only includes system components and applications that are 64 bit, so no amount of hacking will get it working on a 32-bit machine.
It will have been almost 2 years since Snow Leopard was released when Lion is available. However system requirements only will have moved 11 months into the future (the last mac to go 64-bit was the MacBook in November 2006) Lion therefore has more generous legacy support than Snow Leopard did.

I'm ovah heah now!
I think that the biggest hidded gem is the multi-finger touch sensitive screen. I've seen the technology demo'd at some technology preview forum, but not in a mainstream product. I think that this portends a paradigm shift for workstations in general.
I'm an artist by trade, have been digital since '84 but have missed the old drawing board since then. I want a touch sensitive screen with no lag in the form of a traditional drawing board, that I can use a stylus and my near atrophied left hand interactively. I want to move the "paper" and draw at the same time like in the real world. A nice 42" "DIGITABLE" with legs or a stand to keep it at a drawing angle woud do nicely. It could mimic any and all things, like audio mixing boards, film editing etc. Once I got the 24" iMac I could see how close we are. But, this multi-touch sensitive screen stuff just makes me drool. Maybe that what Jobs has up his sleeve.
That's what I'm talkin' about!

Hi Guys,
The monitor is still for sale! I had listed it on eBay and it sold quickly but the buyer had an unconfirmed address with PayPal so I could not take a chance and go through with the sale.
I am also lowering the price to $440 + shipping. Please PM me if interested.
Thanks!

Charge whatever you think someone will pay, but yikes that poster is wrinkled. I guess they weren't stored very well and probably should have been wrapped around a cardboard tube. It takes a long time for vinyl wrinkles to hang out, so for me $1,200 is unrealistic, but good luck to you!

+1 for OWC. They are an excellent place to buy from. Good warranty, good customer service. And yes, all memory is just rebranded from the original manufacturer. Apple memory isn't made by Apple. OCZ memory isn't made by OCZ. You get the idea.

I'm getting ready to head to Florida with my kids and wife. I am so looking forward to this vacation.
I just totaled up my hours that I worked for the past two months. I've worked 7 days a week 70+ hours of work for the past 2 months. This week I've started working at 6:00am, and finishing up at 11:00pm (with a break for lunch and making dinner).

I am going to be installing the MCE Opti Bay tomorrow. Hopefully all will go smoothly. I will post and let you know how it goes.
I will be putting a 128GB SSD in the main drive bay and the stock 320GB HDD in the optibay.

You missed the real story -- in the release notes Apple explain that they're deprecating the Apple maintained version of Java:
http://www.infoq.com/news/2010/10/apple-deprecates-java
Apple have provided a mechanism for installing 3rd party JDKs (in particular OpenJDK), but it likely won't work with current versions of Java IDEs (Netbeans, Eclipse etc) until they're updated to work with the new paths.
I wonder if this is anything to do with Oralce?
More importantly, is Java going to die on OS X? If OpenJDK or Soylatte don't pick it up then is all lost?
