I have a 1 month XBL subscription. I want 800 MSP for it cause i dont need a 1 monther
Now wouldn't that have been a slightly better and the tinniest bit more eloquent way to actually say what you wanted in your OP? You may be a very busy person I don't know. Or it may be just a case that sentences are in short supply in your part of the world; so much so that you feel the need to ration your word count in case of a real vocabulary emergencies. I think maybe next time your could try hieroglyphics ;) j/k
A lot of 1 month trials of Xbox live have been given away free on here in the past as a first come first serve basis. Not that there is anything wrong with wanting payment, but I'd hazard a guess that your chances of procuring 800MSP for 1 month may provide a tough sell here.

I'm pretty new to all this stuff too so don't exactly know what to tell you but I did want to say something else.
I have 4.1 jailbroken with Limera1n myself. Was thinking of upgrading to 4.2 but with a possible 4.3 update VERY close, is it really worth the trouble?
You will need to backup all your Cydia apps too. Which can be a bit sticky from what I've read. I use PkgBackup but I've heard that it doesn't always work. Plus there is always the small chance that you might run into issues when Jailbreaking.
Those are the reasons I elected to skip 4.2 and will go straight to 4.3.
Just my 2 cents...

Perhaps the best approach would be to use the Tiger badge for now, and as the Guides evolve, to produce an icon for all iterants of OS X. The "TigerTip" could then expand to say "This article applies to [Tiger logo] [Leopard logo]" or "This article applies to [Panther]."

I'm brand new to animation. I want a program that I can easily create a visual for story lines with characters without the hassle/knowdledge of how to create characters/environment from scratch.
I read that Poser 2010 Pro has a large library of characters environments compared to Poser 8. The price tag is expensive and want to check on anyone's experience with the two or some other program. Thanks in advance.

I was def under audio...for me the only fix was adding my music folder manually to the sharing list. Then it shoes up. Have audio working fine now...though the inability to go back and search other tracks while listening to a song is a deal-breaker for me for now.
I like to search the next song while one song is playing and if you back out on this it stops playback...very poorly done on PS3 part as I don't think this is Medialink problem.

Looks like most of the reviews are somewhat agreeing with me.
Shame, I was kind of looking forward to this game...
But really, what is the point of an open world with nothing to do? The missions are cookie-cutter with sub-par game mechanics, and the city gives zero incentive for exploring or wreaking havoc or...well, doing ANYTHING besides the missions really. Wasted potential if you ask me.

Yeah (seriously now), I actually agree with you. It would be a great idea.

Before coming to this forum I've spent literally at least 15 hours this weekend trying to get this working myself by watching countless videos, searching so many websites, and just plain playing around with as many different settings as I could think that might fix it. So any input from another person would be very much appreciated.
My Setup
Playstation 3
Hauppauge HD PVR 1212 (ordered from Amazon a week ago)
EyeTV
MacBook Pro (2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3)
iMovie '09 (came with my MacBook Pro)
The Problem
I recorded a 30:33 minute clip and tried exporting in the following ways:
1. H.264 (native)
2. "QuickTime Movie" (using H.264)
H.264 native always imports smoothly into iMovie but for some reason the length of the exported clip is shorter than the original by 10 seconds (30:22) which means my live commentary, while synched at the beginning of the video, will become out of synch later in the video (not sure if it becomes progressively worse or if it happens at a single point in the video). I'm also not sure if the video is missing frames or if the entire video from end-to-end is actually playing slightly faster than the original speed.
QuickTime Movie using H.264 exports smoothly out of EyeTV (maintains the original length of the clip) but fails to import into iMovie with "The file will not be imported. It is not compatible with iMovie.".
However, if I export just 10 seconds of the clip with the same QuickTime Movie/H.264 option that iMovie rejected earlier, it imports just fine.
I believe I've tried other export options but I won't list them here because I'm not 100% sure about them yet, I need more time to play with them. Many of them didn't import into iMovie. I've tried so many things. I wish I could trial Final Cut Express to see if it'd fix my import problems but I don't want to spend $200 only to find out it doesn't work. I also know there's an iMovie '11 but again I don't know if that'd fix any of this.
One thing to note is that I saw someone on YouTube mention he had problems (didn't mention what they were) in using the Hauppauge HD PVR 1212 he purchased from Amazon. Mine came with no remote (the box did not have a photo of the remote like it does on the manufacturers homepage).
I've e-mailed Hauppauge and EyeTV to try and help me understand what's going on.

Yesterday was my official 2-year anniversary for folding.
314,000 points isn't too bad considering the limited number and limited power of my machines...at least by modern standards. My current production is low, and my rank has been dropping, but I am still pretty happy with the sheer amount of work I've contributed.
Not tooting my own horn, just wanted to mark the occasion. Congrats to all of you who are passing me...keep it up!
Super! :D
I was a member with SETI one and ended up over 12,000 wu's. Now that SETI one is over, I've been wondering what to do with my spare CPU time.
Appreciate your post to get me thinking about Folding.

I have a 13" black macbook that was bought in 2007. It has pretty standard hardware, such as 1GB of ram, 160GB HD, etc. However, it has been having problems for about a year now. The first problem it has relates to the computer lagging/skipping. The computer always lags (using a mouse or trackpad). It lags/skips when i'm browsing the internet, playing itunes (the songs actually skip and get choppy), playing a dvd using the DVD player app, and when I watch any type of video on the internet (youtube videos, flash videos; the audio gets choppy and fuzzy). The second issue I have been having is random shutdowns. Sometimes, I will be typing a report or browsing the internet and I will get an error message telling me that I have to restart the computer by holding down the power button. This has happened about 4 times. I think these issues might relate to a bad logic board, but I am not sure. Any ideas? How much does it cost to fix these issues? Thanks

4. Lather, Rinse, Repeat.
Sound like a good idea?
Not #4, The last time I did that my G5 Electrocuted me, and it wouldn't boot for a week!
I ned to get typing and do a few more classic pages! The plan is interesting, I just don't know how to work with the software well enough to help implement it!

Just got to the hostpital to visit a family member and connected to their internet. I'm on AIM via iChat and I'm on the internet which all seem to work just fine. However, my Mail program won't retrieve any of my emails. Does anybody know why or how I can fix this? Have some work I need to get done!

Apple claims that a PRAM reset will automatically reset the Power Manager. I've always assumed this Power Manager to be the PMU but I've seen problems not solved with a PRAM reset yet solved with a PMU reset.
How is this so?
Any help is greatly appreciated, as ever. :)

Did you install the 32-bit or 64-bit version?
Edit: shame on me for not reading original post
I have the same problem on my 2011 quad-core MBP. 8 gb of ram installed and Windows 7 only sees 2.
This is on a 32 bit version. Any ideas?

I did a search for this and didn't see much in the way of hits, especially anything that is new.
For some odd reason when I was moving my mp3s over to my Mac from my old PC hard drive I thought everything was fine. Only until I was in the car looking for a song did I realize albums were missing! I was hoping to find a recommended application that will not only let you record what albums you have, but also sync with iTunes and identify the gaps.
A quick search yielded two solutions:
Collectorz Music Application - http://www.collectorz.com/music/
CDPedia - http://www.bruji.com/cdpedia/
I'm not sure that the Collectorz solution allows identification of CDs not in iTunes, but perhaps I missed something.
Does anybody have feedback on either of these? Others that I may have missed?
