Good Day to all masters!
My jb ipad1 was mistakenly upgraded to 4.3.1 via itunes and could not access an apps which has data for our pregnancy workout of my wife.
Could I possibly restore from backup the data of the application which we need after jailbreak of 4.3.1. How is it done?
Please help me; data is very important for us and our doctor.
Thanks in advance

You should check out VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html). It plays pretty much any video format you can imagine (including WMV).
All but wmv3, which is unfornatley used a lot these days. So you'll be stuck with WMP9 for a while... :(

I wouldn't, the quad G5's have major liquid coolant problems that can destroy the machine, if you have to stick with powerpc then get another air cooled dual G5 but an early core 2 duo Intel Mac would be infinitely more future proof.
Actually both machines 2.7 and Quad G5 are liquid cooled

Hopefully the other 2011 models will soon follow. I had a suspicion it would be soon since the MBP no longer have the "new" icon when you enter the store.
Edit: Obviously the Title should say MBP instead of MPB
Second Edit: Guess I was a bit late to the party http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1140219&highlight=2011+refurbished

Have you tried screen sharing? If you don't have that, push the volume buttons and see if they "pop". That would narrow it down to your gfx card.

I'm looking for a program to convert avi files to mpeg. The videos are very choppy when tr ying to view on the computer. I want to convert, and then burn them, so I can watch them.
Versiontracker turned up alot of software that can do it, but I'm broke right now. I need a free solution.

From my Snow Leopard partition, I started up the OS X Lion image to install (I was hoping to do a simple upgrade on my main partition- stupid, I know). The computer restarted and the Lion Installer began and prompted me to choose a HD to install to, but my Macintosh HD did not show up.
So, now I am unable to boot into my original Snow Leopard OS. The only options I have are "OS X Installer" and "Windows HD" when holding down the option immediately after starting my iMac. It seems as if OS X Installer has replaced my original "Macintosh HD." My files are still accessible by booting into Windows.
Is there anyway I can unmount the OS X Installer and boot into my original Snow Leopard partition? I've tried inserting the Install disc that came with the computer (Leopard), but it does not recognize Macintosh HD, so I can't install it.
Any solutions or thoughts?

Blu-ray drives are problematic in the Mac Pro. Many reports of them constantly waking up the MP from sleep, or checking loudly for a disc every few minutes when there is none.
So even if they were the same price, I'd stay away from Blu if you don't need it.

I just added my Hotmail account to Apple's mail program tonight.
However, I didn't really like the setup so I went to delete the mailbox (hoping it would just simply remove the account from the program) when I was told it would delete all the messages and the account. I however, don't want to lose the Hotmail account or the messages contained on them. I would like to be able to use my Hotmail account again later and still refer to the messages.
My question would be: Is there a way to just simply not have my Hotmail account connected with Apple's mail program? And if so, how?
If I need to explain any better, I will most certainly try. I would just be grateful for any help that I can receive. I am not very familiar with the "Mail" program.

that's the Smooth tool not the Brush tool. If that's what you really get when you click the Brush tool try resetting Illustrator's Preferences:
Move or rename the Adobe Illustrator Preferences file: Users/[user]/Library/
Preferences/Adobe Illustrator CS[X] Settings
Then restart Illustrator.
That worked once, but not again. It might be something to do with my Wacom Bamboo, could that be messing it up? it's just extremely frustrating! Also, it does it with the blob brush tool and the pencil tool.
Thanks!

Yes I have done all updating and everything necessary. I'm going to try some custom video card drivers later. I tried 2 separate TVs, and 2 HDMI wires, nothing.

I take it that you are using a standard account?
Did you make a password protected admin account for the purpose of authenticating with higher privileges from that standard account?
You need two accounts. A password protected admin account that is only there to provide admin credentials and to use to rescue standard accounts in the event of issues. And, a standard account used for day to day computing.
EDIT: There is hidden administrator account that is disabled by default. The default account created is an admin account unless otherwise specified by the user.

Maybe you could hold the iPad in front of your face to protect yourself from the radiation, maybe order another online to put in front of your crotch, don't worry about the 3-4 week wait, it will arrive before any radiation reaches you from Fukushima

Just copy the data to the external, make sure it is there and then delete it from the internal HD.

As long as you are running Windows, you can pretty much run any card you wish to.

I don't know why this is doing it other that there seem to be some conflicts with some apps or with iOS.
I would do a restore to new and add my stuff back one by one.
Hope this helps.

If you can hold out, I would wait until Apple finally phases out C2D from its lineup and goes with something a little more current, which should be in a couple of months.
Whenever the MacBook and MacBook Pro 13 switchover to Sandy Bride, I would expect the Mac Mini to follow.

Hehe, I thought it was an ad for a Black iMac and was going to suggest putting a white Apple logo on the front. :o
