Oh, there's no doubt we've lost The Ashes. So well done to England. They were certainly the better team. However, I think England should play to win this one. They're playing it a little safe now.
Get Australia in and destroy them. Big hitting and lots of wickets in a few hours. That would be cricket!

Can whoever the first person to get a call from best buy to schedule an appointment post it on here....
Will do.
The guy at my store said he thought they would open up a couple of hours early. I'm wondering if they are going to let each individual store make that decision??
I read somewhere (probably this thread) that, yes, it's up to each location.

If Leopard is released before Vist I won;\'t go near it with a 20 meter cattle prod and even if they gave it away for free. Leopard released that soon would scream revenge of the Tiger launch. Honestly a january lauch of eather Vista or Leopard doesn't serve anyone. For windows they missed the lucrative holiday sales rush and only the after x-mas bargan shoppers are looking to buy in ist quarter. For Apple school sales won't begin for months.
All that a January Leopard launch would prove would be the immaturity of the people running Apple. e.g. Its better to ship an OS that probably has a ton of bugs in it to be able to thumb our collective noses at MS then ship a solid product. IMHO I'm REALLY hoping for a WWDC launch of Leopard.

And your point is?
Back in 2009 The Register (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/04/11/microsoft_flames_macs/page2.html)specced up an SP 5500 and a Mac Pro
Mac Pro $2,499
Dell T5500 $3,630
So for over $1100 less you could get a Mac Pro instead of a Dell. A bit like getting a Mercedes that costs less than a Hyundai. :D
As it still has a second socket, it must use Xeon 5000-series CPUs. The CPU in the 3797$ SP configuration costs 1663$ alone, whereas the CPU in 2499$ Mac Pro costs 294$.
That same applies to your link which makes it useless.
Dell T5500 and SP Mac Pro ARE NOT COMPARABLE!
Why is it so damn hard to get it that Mac Pro is overpriced compared to e.g. Dell's offerings?!

So, some crazy bitch climbs on the hood of your car to keep you from leaving and you just have to put up with that?
I'm sorry, I'm not saying the guy should get a free pass, but at some point her own idiocy has to bear some of the blame for this.

I love the anti-phising stuff. I also hope they include built in anti-virus and anti-spyware. I know there isn't much of either for the Mac but it would be great for marketing and the day when something bad does appear.
Huh?
What would it scan for?

Why are your scripts in the buildings?? Wouldnt they look better in the clouds? lol
I've moved them around a few times and liked that lower left corner. I'll play around with them in the air some more and see how they fly.

I used to be a huge fan of Nokia and owned alot of their phones. Everyday I lose more and more respect for the company because of news like this and their terrible phones they've been making.

His shuffle's had another scuffle.
Crap...I always type 'schuffle' when will I ever learn...
And you pointed it out to me in the past...
I guess you can change my sig to something to do with old dogs and new tricks...
Anyway, let's hope something new in the iPod universe is on the way no matter how it is spelt...

Ok here goes...
Fair comment, Major Nelson, or the guy he's talking to goes on to say about the price difference, the enclosure for the drive, the testing done for the drives that have to live up to a standard of performance and how long they last for. Quality control I guess, yes i know theres been problems with the xbox 360 before anyone says anything about that, but then again, we only hear mainly about the problems with peoples consoles, not about all the ones that people arent having problems with.
Microsoft dont make the hard drives, they buy them, enclose them, add the required software, etc, and then sell them at a profit, OMG a company making a profit,.. I do think that they should drop the price though, but not to less than $80, Id say $140 seems fair.
I'm guessing that these hard drives are put together in the same factories in China as the console. $80 is the price I could pay for one MS is buying them in bulk at a discount.
I'm certainly with you on companies making a profit. No one can fault them for that, but when you gouge consumers ($100 wireless WTF?) they take notice. This worries me as a 360 owner because if Sony manages to surpass the 360 total sales (which would mean they were selling like crazy) developers would be more likely to make games for the PS3. So in a sense, I'm greedy. I want games for the system I have.
This is a step in the wrong direction for MS. They have a healthy lead, they could easily stomp Sony with a price cut or an add in like wireless. Instead they increase the price, give you a little more and continue raping you on the accessories. How does a controller cost half as much as a wireless adapter?
Sorry if it sounds like I'm pissed at you, StokeLee. I'm not, just a little peeved at MS that's all. :)

hmm a hoodie is part of you culture so you should be allowed to wear one , thats why its called "hoodie culture" or
but there is a small line between doing how you please and anarchy
I fully agree with you, and I have no problem with people wearing veils. I do have a problem with that people automatically think I'm going to rob a shop just because I wear a hood. I think it should work both ways. If I can't wear a hood, they can't wear a veil.
Slightly different issue, I understand. But I think france has made the right decision.

It would make no sense for Apple to go with a CDMA technology though. GSM is used by almost everyone in the world bar a few markets. With a GSM phone they have the whole European market for phones for example, with a CDMA phone they have a market limited to mainly Verizon and the few other carriers around the world who use CDMA (IIRC, some in S. Korea, some in Brazil and perhaps some other in North and South America).
Apple most likely don't want to have to make loads of different phones, so I'd expect the iPhone to be GSM Quad Band, therefore covering the largests possible market for mobile phones.
Right. It would be foolish of Apple to have an extra Engineer on staff just to handle CDMA and doubly foolish to make a second radio board for it, and triply foolish to have a second stock SKU just for the 90 Million or so CDMA users in the US and the few hundred million (335M+ total) others in Korea, Taiwan, Brazil, India, China, Australia and Iraq.
It would make no sense. Lunacy, I tell you - Lunacy.
What would be even crazier would be to use a TI software-defined-radio to handle CDMA, GSM, Wi-Max, and 802.11. Nuts!

I'd like to know if it will run on my last-gen 24 inch iMac (The cheaper 24 inch), before I commit. Portal 1 runs fine (without any fancy stuff).
Anyway, the whole idea of a FPS where you don't quite 'shoot', is brilliant IMO. Best game ever :)
I think it means "Fast Portal Selection".

I think that would be cool, although I already have Netflix(its my moms) I might get this because I am a huge apple fan and so I would have something like that when I move out or if my decided to quit using Netflix(doubtful) however that depends on a few thing price, quality and quantity. But maybe apple will have more new stuff available to instant stream. Anyway I think its a good idea and hope this is what apple actually plans to do.

Yikes. With those sales numbers, how do they stay in business?
keep in mind it's only a small 350.000 population market
i have no idea though ... it is even more funny because i actually know the person who registered that new Chrysler Voyager (he is using for his business).
if you are interested i can easily post the rest of the numbers

...can Big Brothr track where you are but how unfit you are as well!
Or, if you get lost you can get one of the people 60 feet or so away from you tracking you to tell you where you are.
And we have all seen those CSI-type shows where they triangulate your location by the signal of your mobile phone. Thank god more people have Nike+ kits than cell phones or we would all be in danger...
Oh wait...

Not really CNN's falt, the story was filed by their Seattle affiliate KING.
Seattle, University of Washington, flaw in a Nike product being portrayed as an iPod flaw... I sense a pattern...
I think a study needs to be done looking into how to track people using their Zunes.

...and hope springs eternal. But I think this is a pipe dream. Apple is already breaking with tradition (if, in fact, the "no hardware at WWDC" rumor is true). And then there are those pesky "Apple has not yet ordered the parts for the iPhone 5" rumors that (if true) scream "delay."
The problem for Apple here is that they're gonna have to release something that matches or exceeds the multiple Android devices that are scheduled for release this year. I'm an iOS guy, and I love iPhones, but c'mon--the new Samsung Galaxy S2 is a sweet looking phone. And the Thunderbolt is killing at Verizon right now (or so I hear).
Apple has always risen to the challenge, and I look forward to their offering this year.
If I don't upgrade to an Android phone first. ;)

Things like this make me think that the current version of the Suite will be support alongside FCP X for a time.
That would certainly be nice...
As long as Color (or at least its functionality) is still around and I can continue to freelance with it, I'll be open to the idea of updating. I'm actually in the early stages of setting up a long-form doc. Hopefully more info will roll out soon, so I can decide on whether to do it in FCPx.
