Yes the phantom power is on. It was working fine just the other day...now all of a sudden the green signal light doesn't come on.

like the title says... I'm definitely going 13" MacBook Pro, just don't know if the current model is better/worse than last models. I don't care about any future model, just want to know what people think about this model and the last model that is found in the refurb section on apple's site. Would like to order within the next few days. Price isn't an option.

Ah, I misunderstood.
Btw:
There are currently no viruses for Mac OS X in public circulation, only a handful of trojans and other malware, which have to be installed manually via entering the administrator password.
The only anti-virus you need to protect your Mac is education and common sense.

Have you tried Max (http://sbooth.org/Max/)?
I used it (among others things) to transcode FLAC files in AAC. It is a good ripper too.

your probably right,
i love bf online tho
BF1942 still has pretty good sp bots, esp for the mods like BG42, FinnWars, DCxx, FH, SilentHereos, etc.. I'd deffinetly say go with BF1942 and there are a load of quality mods to expand the gameplay with (as there are on ut2004 but i prefer BF). I get so bored very easily with UT2004, though there where one or two mods that i liked for this, like Domain, Red Orchestra and Killing Floor...
But BF1942 gets my vote :)

I'd love to discover some apps that would be useful on set.
You should definitively consider using your iPhone as a phone, it has been a wonderful tool to help me keeping up with development and production on different projects. I use Skype a lot for international calls and email is a must have. Seems like a lot of people in the industry use an iPhone which makes sharing documents/calendars/contacts/etc... a lot easier ! :D

G4/G5 optimized firefox builds are faster...
After Firefox 1.1 goes full cocoa, nobody is going to want Camino.
http://homepage.mac.com/krmathis/
Where did you see that 1.1 would be full Cocoa? The 1.1 release slated for 3/2005 (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/roadmap.html) should reflect a more HIG-compliant interface, but it's still going to be a XUL app. At best, one day they make use Quartz instead of QuickDraw
They're closely related browsers serving different needs. I like my FoxyTunes, AdBlock, Web Developer Toolbar and PR Googlebar, but I also like spell checking in forms, true Aqua widgets, and apps that look like they were written for the Mac.

Actually, I'm sure there is a way, as long as a person has access to the computer. There's probably some type of software used by corporations to monitor employee computer usage. In addition, searched MacUpdate for "keystroke logger" does come up with a utility called logkext. So of course it can be logged. Now, installing and monitoring it remotely might be difficult though. Securing physical access to your computer (i.e. setting up a password to come back from screensaver or sleep) would be the primary concern. You could also use Little Snitch to monitor apps making network connections.
I'm not aware of any way to "secure keystrokes" though.

Says RS/6000.
yeah, but so what?
afaik rs/6000 was a server line at ibm which was rebranded the pSeries some two years ago...but they did/do use ppc processors of various flavors.
what i see from this message is that this patch enables altivec support on the powerpc64 target of the linux64 build of gcc, so if you happen to have a 64-bit powerpc with altivec, try to compile it on your box.
anyway, this might be completly wrong, just trying to show my pov.

Got to St Davids at 8:30 and there was a queue of about 40 people at the apple store. Went to Currys digital and had a 32gb 3G iPad in my hands within 5 mins!!
