While I believe it might suit an Apple PC (and a PC bought by me) because of the stronger integrated graphics, I two find it highly unlikely that Apple would switch some of their PC's from Intel to AMD. It requires them to optimize pretty much everything they release for both.
On a sidenote, when AMD recently stated they were shipping their first Llano processors, it was predicted that OEM's will release Fusion-based machines not before june and I'm thinking new mini's will come next week with the iMacs (not that that's certain yet but hey, a man can dream right?). These two don't really match up, no matter how much I want them to.
Edit: Also, any ideas about Fusions TDP?

The last line isn't quite correct:
The Windows switches /3GB and /PAE will not make a difference to these limits; they affect the allocation of memory to applications within Windows only.
The switch /3GB does indeed only affect the allocation of memory to applications, but the switch /PAE does allow 32 bit Windows to access more than 4 GB of RAM using Physical Address Extensions (a hardware feature which is how OS X accesses more than 4 GB of RAM in 32 bit mode).
Microsoft has chosen not to implement PAE support in Windows XP, Windows Vista, and (I assume) Windows 7, so there is no way for those OSs to support more than 4 GB of RAM. On the other hand, Windows and 2008 R2 do support PAE, so the 32 bit versions should be able to support more than 4 GB of RAM.
To use the the /3GB switch, the application must be compiled IMAGE_FILE_LARGE_ADDRESS AWARE.
I'd edit the wiki myself, but I do not yet have edit privileges.

Assuming the above code is in a .mm file (not a .m file) that should be fine. I don't know about connecting an action directly to C++ method, I don't think that would work. But you should be able to connect it to an objective-c method, and inside that use C++ code, including being able to create C++ object and call C++ methods.
You know Objective-C is an extension to standard C, right? Objective-C++ is the same extension applied to C++.

i bought an ipad original today in the $100 price drop and love it. i would have gone ipad 2 but there is no retina so ill pass.
anyway, the number one feature that would almost triple the value of it to me would be the ability to answer texts i get from my iphone, on my ipad. its such a hassle if im walking around with it, to set it in a safe place and get my phone out of my pocket or backpack. is there anyway to do this? i will obviously jailbreak it if necessary.

Two steps, I think.
Select all your photos in Aperture and File menu > Consolidate Masters.
This should move all the masters into the Aperture library.
You can then delete all the original files (keep a backup for now, just in case).
Then, select all your Aperture photos in aperture and File > Relocate Master to move them all to your external drive.
Disclaimer: I've not tried this.
Maybe try with a few photos first to check it does what you want it to.

So I'm making a profile on Monster.com, and I'm a little confused. I've uploaded a resume and made it public/searchable, and added contact information, but beyond that I'm not sure what I should or shouldn't be bothering with on the site.
It says:
"Monster uses your Profile information to personalize your job recommendations and career tools throughout the web site. You can also use your Profile to build resumes without having to enter new information.
Your profile will not be visible to employers or other Monster members. When you make your resume public, Monster shares contact information in your profile with potential employers and with companies you apply to. See Monster's Privacy Policy for more details."
So if employers will never see my profile, and only my resume, what's the point of filling out all the extra fields, meaning those that want lengthy descriptions of stuff?
From what I understand, the more info I have in my profile, the more monster can use to pull from to match me to jobs automatically, which I understand. But I don't see how writing some long-winded 3000 word bit on experience or whatever is going to help them with that, because I doubt someone at monster sits down and actually reads my profile and experience to match me to a job?
I mean, if nobody at monster is reading my profile, and employers can't see my profile, what's the point of filling out all those long-winded explanation sections? I can certainly understand filling out contact info, adding a resume, and maybe some demographic info, but everything else seems like a waste of time.
Also what about uploading a cover letter? It's rather hurtful to send an employer a general/generic cover letter, so I'm assuming uploading one is a bad idea?
What exactly do employers see if they can't see anything in my profile? Just my resume and contact info? Do I really need to do anything beyond that? I mean, the resume says it all pretty much.

Please check your energy saver settings, that you are in fact sleeping the computer and not just the display, when on battery power.
If that is set correctly, try safe-booting and see if the rapid drain during sleep persists. Let me know what happens.
Also, let's benchmark the drain, awake vs. asleep, for say 1 hour each. Measure percent battery capacity and/or milliampere hours.

If anyone with any experience with editing audio on Pro Tools can help me, i'd be very grateful.
If you have two or more tracks of audio, say a vocal mic was on each, for spoken word. It's not too much bother to manually snip out the silence(ish) from the inactive mics but is there a better way?
I dont really want to use a gate/expander otherwise you will hear it (this was not a studio record so room noise is there)
I sometimes get given courses/dramas to edit that have been recorded in this fashion and it can be a bit slow. Editing drama is much less hassle if everyone has stood around the one figure of 8 mic.
Also, quickly, any recommendations on NR plugins, I have tried sound soap and izotope over the years but they very much seem to reduce noise in exchange for weird artifacts and sometimes phasing mush. As with the above scenario all i would ever like to remove is room noise (so broadband) from spoken word.
Thanks for any advice.
